An affordable, efficient and superior alternative to the standard cartridge filter included with many above ground pools. Quick to set up, easy to use, and will efficiently clean and circulate the water of an above-ground pool of up to 15,000 gallons. The Filter Tank is made with injected glass filled polypropylene. The Control Valve is mounted on top with lever-action handle that features 7 positions: filtration, backwash, circulation, rinse, purging, winterizing and closed. The heavy-duty motor is 110 volts, self-priming. The self priming pump features a hair and lint strainer. Use only #20 silica sand. Availble in two sizes: 1/2 HP Pump Sand Filter (for pools up to 5,500 gallons) or 3/4 Pump Sand Filter (for pools up to 15,000 gallons). Both filters include an adapter for Intex pools and Sand N Sun Easy Set Pools. The 1/2 HP Sand Filter measures 18” X 18” X 28" and the 3/4 HP Sand Filter measures 26.5” X 19.5” X 16"

I bought the 15000 gallon filter/pump & so far it is working well. Easy to assemble & no problems attaching to the intex hoses. It is very quiet while running. The only negative thing is the catch tray clogs quickly if large particles get through the skimmer/vacuum.

We have an 1800 gallon 3ft x 12ft intex pool. This filter made it crystal clear in one hour. We did have to buy new hoses as the intex ones wouldn't clamp tight enough not to leak. for an extra $17 for a 4' and 6' hose it was no big deal. We've run it about an hour a day for a month and it beats the cartridge filter running 24/7.

I have the same Intex pool filter, no good... I just bought this sand filter. Will let you know what I think of it after using...
